In my downloads I have Lightroom 5.3 - 5.4 - 5.5 - 5.6.Can I move the those earlier files to trash? ( iMac )
That answered a question I'd been mulling over.
For some reason Adobe upgrades to LR do not delete the icon when they delete and replace the program with the new version. But if you click on them they go nowhere. So you can dump the 5.3, 5.4 & 5.5 icons, only the 5.6 works anyway. When you click on the others (in windows 7 in my case) it just tells me the program they were a shortcut to no longer exists and do I want to delete the icon.

I hate to delete program files, and I'm sure I have several copies of LR and others. Even if you delete all the downloads of LR, if you have a problem, you can download from Adobe. Of course, they they go out of business overnight, then you're out of luck. Not much chance of that happening, though. I used to put all my program downloads onto DVDs, but that's not necessary.

It's funny how that works. I have only one copy of LR and PS, but I have two versions of Dreamweaver on my computer, and both work.
Wait a minute, I think I understand. They are different versions, not updates. I have DW CS 4 and CS6.
? ? When you delete a program, are you sure that program does not delete others things which you're presuming you will be retained in the update?
