I shot hundreds of barns over the past 10 or so years, but this is probably one of my favorites to date.

Canon 50D
18-55 Canon Lens at 30mm
ISO 100 f9 ss=1/200

Thanks for looking. Any and all C and C is welcome.

Nice job, beautiful photo, great composition. Like the three smaller barns in the background leading your eye to the main barn. Only wish I could see it larger. Thanks so much for sharing Cotondog. Richard

Super-interesting shot! Right down to the 3 small buildings on horizon. Very enjoyable! (maybe not so much for the barn's owners :) )

Thanks for the kind comment, Linda. The owner came by (seems to happen to me a lot when I'm out snooping around for something to take a picture of), and told me that they were hoping to move it out of the water after freeze-up. He said no one was willing to touch it in the summer.

Thanks for looking, redhogbill. I think a lot of people love them because there sure is no shortage of them on UHH. And for those of us that love them, that is a very good thing!

This image is so well done. You've skillfully put all the elements together and it's a very appealing work of art.

Thanks for the comment, RicknJude. We had a ton of rain in Saskatchewan all Spring and early summer, right up to the beginning of July. So, a small dugout just seemed to grow bigger, is my guess. But I don't know for sure. The pond (if that's what we can now call it) really was not too deep that I could tell, but it spread out a fair distance -- unfortunately, toward the barn. But it helped add to my shot!

And we must remember that we're both Saskatchewan boys. I like your Riders.
They play our Red/Blacks here tomorrow night. It'll be a good game.

Pierre
