I've signed up for the CC versions of Photoshop and Lightroom and just noticed that I've got what looks like multiple versions of photoshop installed (looks like the CC updates aren't updating but installing new versions) I've got photoshop cc, photoshop cc 64 bit, and photoshop cc 2014. I want to delete all but the 2014 version but thought I'd check here first to help ensure there is nothing being used from the older versions? Also anybody know why CC installs new versions versus updates? It looks like lightroom is installed as an update but not photoshop..
thanks!
No matter why they did it, you will definitely want to start using PS CC 2014. There are some new elements that are definitely worth using (Content Aware fill with Color Adaptation comes to mind). If you need help copying over your third party filters, let me know and I can tell you how to do it (I've done it twice - CS6 to CC, and CC to CC 2014).
i am using the 2014 version.. would like to delete the older versions and just wanted to check in here before doing so. I don't have any add ins or anything like that to copy over... thanks
Lloyd
OK Bob..
The 2014 CC edition dropped the OIL-Paint filter..How could I gravitate that filter from the previous "CC" to the 2014 version of Photoshop CC?
THX in advance!

I don't think you can, this is the note from Adobe:
"Picture Package, Oil Paint filer, and Variations are missing from the 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Photoshop CC 2014.
These features were based on an out-dated technology that is no longer being used by Photoshop. Consequently, the features were removed."
Another removal was Mini-Bridge.
This is one of several reasons that the previous CC version was not removed during the update.
Are you sure it's multiple versions and not just left over icons to the previous version? Having the 32 and 64-bit versions is normal. I believe when installing CS6 and some of the others it normally installed both so CC shouldn't be any different.

There are multiple cc versions. I did delete the older ones. I should say uninstall.

They did it so you could use older versions if you want.

Not a bad idea seeing as a lot of people complain about them removing something from the version they are used to like previously mentioned the Oil Paint filter.
