Have owned Panasonic for years but the dmc-G5K camera is too complicated so I am looking at the Olympus E620.I have all Olympus lense work well but the G5K camera needs the Panasonic lense and do not give the same quality of photo. so would like some in but on the Olympus E620 camera before I jump from the pan into the fire .Thanks
I've been using an Olympus E600 for about 8 months - found in a thrift store along with the 2 kits lenses for $23, all in beautiful condition - and love it. I've added a bunch of legacy lenses and have never enjoyed photography more.
Have a chance to purchase a E500 Olympus do you know if it is a s close to the E600?
Sorry, I've never learned how the two compare.

I have both and they are very nice cameras, my first DSLR was the 500 and it was a joy to use. The 620 is a favorite of mine for shooting hummingbirds and other wildlife and the colors are really nice. The 620 has 12Mp and the 500 has 8Mp, I have printed very nice prints up to 13x19 " from both. They are both enjoyable cameras.

thanks for the help all ways like to get an owners opinion.
Owned both the e500 and e620 (as well as an e5)... Both were good, the e620 handed ISO up to about 1000 just fine, whereas the e500 got noisy above 400. The viewfinder was about the only thing I did care for on the 620, hence the reason I stepped up to the e5. If you already have the lenses, and can find a 620 for 150 or so, then I'd say go for it.
