http://zenhabits.net/inhabitWe all go through our lives almost on autopilot, our minds generally elsewhere, occupied with other thoughts as we float through the real world like ghosts.
We sit at a computer, have a coffee, eat a snack, use the bathroom, wash our hands, drive home
and barely notice anything about any of those activities.
This is called being occupied, and we do it all the time.
It is also called multitasking and is generally to be admired. If while drinking my coffee I am not able to mentally get my day together, good friends, wife, kids, work and play then it would sure shortchange my existence. If, while sitting on the toilet, that was ALL I was able to think about I doubt life would be worth living.
