After viewing Sylvia's beautiful photo of a blueberry stem dying, I began looking for peeks of color around the farm in early morning light. (go to Photo Gallery, search for "Dying Blueberry Stem" by Sylvias) When able to do so I will spend an hour or more soaking in the beauty that morning light seems to give us and try to take advantage of it. I caught sight of this small amount of color almost hidden under the leaves the other morning, on my hands and knees it was just beautiful. Thanks to Sylvia's post I decided to see if I could capture it. This is not nearly as stunning as the dying blueberry stem but had I not seen that I probably wouldn't have noticed this glimpse of fall or tried to capture it. Thanks to the members here, I am taking advantage of your talent and learning to look in unexpected places for photo opportunities.
Wonderful shot and composition.
It will have lots of company in another couple of months, but this one's a beauty! Nice shot!
I love the contrast and coloring
Very lovely shot.
And isn't it wonderful how much we take inspiration - let alone knowledge - from other members of the forum!
Wow! The color is remarkable!
