These are the sunset a couple of days ago.
This will be moved to gallery.
While fiery this had not the 'humph' that makes the difference between 'good' and 'wow!'
Shooting from a car window does not help either...
Sorry.

The clouds are the main subject and they are not in focus in any of the shots. Shooting wide open at relatively slow shutter speeds does not give you the DOF or sharpness you need to have.
I thought I had posted these in the gallery. I guess not.
These weren't shot from a car window.
It was a quick couple of shots where I was trying to show how colorful the sky was that day with no PP involved but if nobody likes them, then nobody likes then. Oh, well, that's life, and photography. It's not like I can go out and retake them.
I like them. Remember the old proverb "An opinion is like an ass hole, everyone has one". the most important thing is that you like them and are happy with them.

Agree with that, if you can believe it...
Beautiful captures; excellent series!!

Fantastic colors coupled with interesting cloud formations. Well done and thanks for sharing...very beautiful.
It was certainly a heck of a sunset that night...
Thank you bioteacher, patrickwilson86, FramerMCB, and TheDman. And thank you Rongnongno and SonyA580 for viewing and your comments. Rongnongno, maybe why you thought the shots were through a car window is because in the first picture a portion of the roof of my house is visible in the upper left corner. Your confusion is understandable. Next time I will take more time and do a three-shot series and run them thru Photomatix to give them more 'humph' and "wow". Like I said earlier, it was just a quick few shots to record the event before it went away.
The sky looks like it's on fire! You were very lucky to catch these before the sunlight was gone. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Mom of 2. If I was a couple minutes earlier it was even more intense coloring. But I had to go get my camera after I first saw it.
