OK, my D600 has been reconditioned twice by Nikon, I am convinced. However, when using my 28~300 Nikon, I see a spot. But when using my 50mm, no spot. So I cleaned the glass elements but still only the spot when using the telephoto. The interesting thing is, no spot on the resulting pic. Any thoughts?

Someone is going say that you should post some pictures and click on "download original."

Are you using a filter on the telephoto?

Had a similiar issue with my D600 and I just got word from Nikon that they are going to give me a brand new D610. I just sent them back (they paid the postage) my D600 2 days ago. I had to go back and forth with them a few times on this but they finally agreed to replace it with the D610. I appreciate the good service but that's something they should have done automatically seeing as how they had all these issues with spots on the D600 to begin with - and they acknowledged that problem in a left handed manner by introducing the D610 so quickly.

Since this is not present when chaning the lens you have dust INSIDE the lens element. Can't clean that. This is typical for zoom by the way as the elements motions are wide and suck/out air from the outside. A deadly condition for a lens used where ever there is dust in the air and it does not take all that much.
