I too love old barns, but I like to use them as backgrounds for portraits. Here is one I found in my town. A knock on the door for permission and bam a great photo.
Lens flare is on purpose. My first few trys donig it with the camera vs photoshop...hope you like

First of all; Welcome to the UHH Forum, wspritch.
My first thought of the picture was that it did not fit together. I love old barns and I take a few pictures here and there. I like taking just the barn and the natural surroundings.
That is not to say that the picture of you isn't good. Matter of fact it truly is but not together. That is my comment. A tip; you will not always get the reaction that you would expect from a viewer but most are quite honest and are willing to give you suggestions even if you don't ask that they do. It is up to you in how you want to respond however.
