Wonderful Edgorm. What is the story on #2? Also, I wonder how many of us sat and dreamed (and made wishes) while picking out those hearts. More memories! Thanks for sharing!
The morning after Hurricane Sandy, I was taking pictures of the devastation from the fires and flood when I walked past the remains of a house that had burned to the ground. All that was left was the foundation and this firefighter statue, which had been on the front lawn. As I passed by, the firefighter, who had been there all night, was just setting the statue, which had been knocked over by the flood, upright again. Over the following weeks, that statue became an icon and a symbol of neighborhood unity.
