Thanks there are plenty here...this was on my front sidewalk. I also have a neighbor who has a spruce
tree in her yard & it has maybe 50 webs all over it.
I have been working on it today.. the spiders are sooo tiny..
. the wind started blowing so will try again tomorrow. :)

I believe this to be a Carolina Wolf Spider (Hogna carolinensis): http://www.spiders.us/species/hogna-carolinensis

Wolf spiders are nice captures. If you analyze the photos closely you will see, at least to my eyeballs, the second has a better focal plane. Zoom in real close and you will see how small the focal plane difference is but it makes for a better shot.If you completely square up the face will be better but some of the legs in the foreground will most likely be OoF. You are coming along nicely Pam, keep shooting!

Love that spider. Not sure why, but I have always disliked flies. Even when they look as good as this one does.

Good captures Pam.... One doesn't realize just how many spiders are out there until you go out early in the morning when there is heavy dew and see all of the dew covered webs that you don't normally see... It's been rather windy here in North Georgia lately too...

Thanks Scott,
