I have done a lot of abstract painting as well as photography. I think you have a good eye for abstract shapes in the environment, but the trick is to remove some common references points that allow the brain to see a familiar object instead of just the absolute form. I did some cropping to remove the "pipe identifier" portion and changed the reds which also were identifiers.

I do to . my wife does not like to travel with me and my cameras. I am always looking everywhere to find hidden gems like this. Nicely done.

An excellent capture, Coot! I think I prefer your version to George's suggestion, because I think having the whole elbow in the frame enhances the structure. I and my Rollei were married to my late wife for 61 years, and she never stopped sighing when I took off my lens cap. Wait ....
