I know the branch growing out of the ear has to go, but what I want feedback on was the branches that frame the cats face. Part of me like them because the give it a 3D appearance. Part of me doesn't like them because they're distracting.

Try keeping the bigger triangle branches that frame the face and get rid of the smaller ones inside. Make a copy first. It is an experiment.

Here's my politically correct answer...Do one of each! :-) I'm like you I sorta like the idea either way. I'm no help huh? Good shot!

I think I like them. It gives the feeling of stealth.

I figured the smaller branches would go along with the one growing out of the ear. I shoot RAW so a copy isn't an issue. Thanks for the feedback.

That's a good straddle the fence answer. Have you ever thought about a career in politics? :) Thanks for the feedback.

This pic draws my attention to the cats eyes and I really don't notice the branches.

I love it just how it is .... nothing is going to distract you from that face. Great photo.

I hope you don't mind but I did a fast PP on your photo.. cloned out the branches across the body, filled out the light reflection in eye, brought up the contrast on the overall body and darkened the branches. Not flawless, but what my suggestions would be....
