"Grand Teton" Is A Mountain. "The Tetons" Are a Range
I learned this today. Saying "The Grand Tetons" is incorrect.
The three most prominent mountains in the Tetons are Mount Moran, Grand Teton and Teewinot Mountain.
What makes the Tetons spectacular is that due to the geological conditions that created them, there are no foothills on the eastern edge. They arise abruptly out of the ground.

Very nice photos. The Tetons are so rugged and abrupt that they have always reminded me of the Alps. Thanks for posting.
Lovely raw images, like diamonds in the rough, valuable. I would work one of them in Photoshop to make it a bit more.
