Yeah. At first I thought it was some kind of group hiking/walking in the woods....but...now the I look closer....very nice job... I love the lighting on the log... The missing bark and the overall tone....very nice! Impressive!

Overall, an interesting shot of an unusual subject. Nice lighting and composition. My only suggestion for improvement would be a bit more cropping in order to emphasize the mushrooms a little more.

Ok you asked. I like it but to me it's not 5-star. I'd give it 3-stars. For me at least, I'm a little confused about what the story is. I get the mushrooms but then the bark in the background-right is in good focus and somewhat distracting.
Suggestions above are all good. My opinion is good try! Maybe give more thought to DOF, foreground, subject, background, the next time you compose this scene.
The fun part about photography is there are some subjects we get to shoot over and over again, trying different things.

I like the green contrast color in the upper left. I also like the composition. Exposure is nice, slightly moody. What is does not have for me is the "wow" effect. I can't make an emotional connection with this otherwise outstanding photo.

Like the composition very much. if the lighting on the mushrooms was a little better they would stand out from the background and the photo would have more interest from my perspective. :thumbup:
