I have an HP Pavilion dv4 laptop computer running win 7. My problem is the display is stuck in the power saver mode even when plugged into an AC power source. Rebooting the computer did not fix the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Click Start
Click Control Panel
Choose Power Options
Select the option you like
I've been a mac guy now for the past 8 years, but I think if you go to the task bar at the bottom of the screen and you should see a battery icon or HP icon and click on it to open it and click to where the options as it should give you choices of battery usage, make your adjustments then save.
You may have to right click on the icons then proceed.
That did the trick. Thanks guys.
