Visting the Apple Store in an Orlando Mall I pointed in fun my camera at this little girl. She immediatly started posing like a little version of an America's Best Top Model Contestant.
Mum and Dad Oked the pics. They were visiting from Brazil

This post is about the ever needed protection of innocent kids and the dangers they are exposed to. Read it well and let it sink in for a day or so before you start the flame thrower.
Innocent or pervert
There is a fine line between innocent behavior and the behavior of perverts. Perhaps this is totally of topic but it is my input and here it icomes.
Years ago I used to keep a hand gun around for the main reason to enable myself to do justice should any pervert ever molest my kids and law enforcement would be lacking.
Some signs of perverts
Love to play Santa Claus. The pervert loves to have little kids sit in his lap. It gives them a feeling of control that is hard to find any other way.
The pervert loves to take pictures of little kids, not his own. He loves to sucker the parents into the game as well by getting their approval. Asking for their email, so I can mail you the picture, is one method. (like they dont have thousands of pictures already) One would think that if they can afford to fly from Brazil to Orlando to go to Disney they have a camera as well.
The pervert would give anything to have the cutie for a few hours.
The irresponsible parent photographer sets the kids up by taking thousands of snap shots. The innocent kid is now convinced that they are, special, very cute and people like cute kids, thereby becoming an easier target for the perverts. Girls more than boys. Boys generally do not like Mum or Dad constantly sticking a camera in their face, girls love it. Oh she is so cute, she is so photogenic.
I have done the same many years ago when the world was more innocent. It is soooo wrong to feed your desire for pictures at the cost of your kids innocence. Get a dog or take bird pictures.
Who is the pervert? The male stalker in the mall or the Mum or Dad with the ever present camera?
I really hope that I am totally of base with this but some men man signs of a wannebe pervert. He is lucky I was not the Dad in the mall or at the least he would have handed me the memory card or at the worse he would have needed flying lessons while quickly descending the escalator. I would also report him to local authorities as a potential mall child stalker and put the mall management on notice of a potential law.
Again, in closingperverts are often such a nice man and most likely are but in todays sick world, if you are honest with kids, you need to be above reproach and dont point your camera at other peoples kids and then post them in a photo forum, full size and uploadable.

Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no ones watching or everyone is watching. Even in the Mall.
The forum has standards about nudity and should have standards about posting under age innocent kids. Ooops they most likely do. Professional photographers should know better.

Nice candids Ian and I'm quite sure that her parents were around. She seems a little young to be waltzing around on her own. My model I'm going to be using this summer is 15 years old---I hope JIB isn't around.......
