Now that Perry's found out what he can do (in his last full year as governor), he should do it. I do hope the rest of the governors follow suit.

Try again... He's being labeled a opportunist political hack. The guards can't shoot, can't arrest, can't drive the kids away. All they can do it accept the kids when they surrender, which is exactly what the federal agents are doing. The move is 100% for show and will have no effect on children coming across the border whatsoever.
