Focus stacked Yellow Bell pepper and one cut Tomato not stacked

One night my wife was cooking dinner and she showed me this pepper and of course I had to photograph it. Natural window light with a reflector and a gobo, Canon 60D and Tamron 90mm macro on a tripod and rail. Zerene and LR5 for post.

I've come across peppers like that. I wonder what causes it.... Good food shots, Jambulee.
