I am editing this image the family loves it although I know it can be better... what would you do to improve the image?

It's a lovely image of a lovely family. Perhaps you should make minor adjustments with your photo editing program by adding a slight increase in contrast with a slight decrease in brightness. You could also make minor adjustments using curves. :)

It is indeed a lovely picture, I hope you don't mind, but I played with it a little. Pretty much doing what Lighting suggested, however, I added a couple of other small things. The younger boy's fly is smack dab in the middle of the shot. I darkened the snap of his fly, so it doesn't draw the eye. I also cropped a little off the bottom, trying to bring the eye up a little, to their faces. Hope you like it, if not, one great thing about computers is there is a "delete" button.

Don't know if you'll like this one or not. I kind of did some HD to back ground then did some cosmetics to Him and Her.
