The mirror won't do that, turn the VR off when using a tripod...

[Sometimes you just have to shoot the picture again with different settings
People here have many suggestions that may not help you
Just shoot 50 pictures one or two will come out perfect
You will learn and feel what the camera is doing and how to correct your problems. Good luck
