Bee's eyes & tiny caterpillars

These Bee Flies are a daily sight in my yard & they let me get pretty close most times as you see here. It was shot at life sized & then I cropped it about 60%... I found these tiny (1st instar ?) caterpillars on my American Plum tree (Prunus americana)... The second image is just to show how small they are (the tip of my thumb is visible as I was holding the leaf against the fence to keep the wind at bay)... I'm also putting an image of some small tent caterpillars on the "Close up forum" that I spotted yesterday...
