I am fairly new to photography. Like a lot of people I have started relying on my iPhone for photos. I inherited my dads Minolta SLR camera and have had various brands of the earlier digital cameras. I'm looking to get more involved in photography. Looking for a camera that will "play nice" with my Mac. Also interested in film photography due to the Minolta.

I use a Mac. I have used iPhoto a LOT. lol, Now I just use it for final pix and making books.
All the advice on cameras here is free. Just ask in one of the Discussion forums.

Aloha knoll and welcome to UHH. Your Mac should be able to work with most digital cameras RAW photos. If not, you would have no problems when shooting jpg. You have come to a great site where it is easy to learn from the wide variety of subjects. The main thing is to have fun and enjoy.
