Friends, If someone told you they knew not a thing how to PP. He recently went out and bought Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 and now is looking for an instruction book that would take this novice inch by inch, step by step, through the import process to the export process of LR 5, what book would you suggest?
Thank You, Larry

Scott Kelby warning it is about $36 on line, more in stores.

But it is #1 in sales and he goes into detail about every procedure, including reviewing stuff that was in other lessons. Some don't like that part, but, you can just skip to the new stuff if you desire.

He starts with organizing and cataloging photos then moves on to editing.

I was in that position a year ago and I was recommended Scott Kelby's book, Lightroom 5 for digital photographers. It has been absolutely great and I still use it a lot - just used it this evening in fact. But use it with other resources available such as youtube rather than exclusively.

I can't remember who publishes it; but there is a series called "Classroom in a book" and one volume covers just Lightroom. It is excellent.

With no money research the WEB. I am learning PS CC this way.

With money to spare? Buy on line courses.

Books are good only if free as most are not all that informative and frankly pure BS for what you pay for.

I would highly recommend "The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 Book" by Martin Evening. It is an excellent text with well laid out and logical modules and a ton of color pictures and examples. Cost on Amazon about $38.92

You made me think about a link I found (and may have kept, need to look for it) Adobe had free e-books on line.

Searcher, Thanks for the help. This looks like a good place to start. You must have one heck of a site cardfile. You always respond to member questions.
