B&H will ship orders of $49 or more expedited. That means you will get your order in 1, 2, or 3 days, depending on where you live. Will other dealers follow suit? Shipping charges can be substantial.

Looks like it impacts people who where in the ground 3 to 6 day zones from Brooklyn. So people in the 1 to 2 day areas will still be the same transit time. I love B&H since I'm in the 1 day area.
The B&H map pretty much follows the UPS ground map for day 1 and 2 area.

Yes, I got the email too.
I ordered a TC from B&H and it was shipped (picked up)Sunday. I live in a 2 day zone and the estimated delivery is Wednesday by days end.
By my count I should get it Tuesday... we shall see.

Tuesday has come and gone and the TC has not arrived. 2 day delivery? Seem like its just the regular UPS schedule.

The reason that they quoted Wed and not Tues is from their website:

On Monday I ordered a lens from B&H and noticed the Expedited shipping. I didn't bother to research it to see if it was UPS. Just selected UPS ground instead because I prefer to call the local UPS terminal and have them hold for pickup any packages that require a signature. Plus I can then pick it up first thing in the morning instead of having to wait those looong hours (OK, looong minutes, sometimes) for the big brown truck to show up! Like you Jerry, I live close enough that Expedited shipping does me no good. As long as it is in stock my order always arrives the next day anyway. At least now I know it is UPS Expedited. Thanks.

My old "shipped" B&H emails show:
We are pleased to inform you that the following order has been shipped. (If this email was sent on a Sunday or a Legal Holiday, your order has been packed and will be shipped on the next business day.)
So most likely UPS did not physically take possession until Monday which would make the two day be Wednesday?
Let us know how you make out - I see from your other post that it was marked expedited.

I went to B&H to order some items I needed for a shoot on Saturday. Came to $48.89. When I checked my cart, there was a banner saying "you only need to spend $0.11 to get free expedited shipping". Great, so I've got to figure out what they have that I want. Search, search search; finally settled on a Tiffen ND .6 filter to go with my .9.
Point is, it gets people to spend a bit more, so it probably pays for itself.
