What is your favorite tool or plugin for sharpenning your picture in PP? And how do you know that you did it right /not over or under sharpenned/?
I use OnOne percect enhance (8.5) and the detail slider. Sharpen until it looks better but still realistic. It is all a matter of preference of the shooter as to how much is enough (less is usually better).

Faststone USM sharpening with a radius of .3 or less and an amount of 4 or less will keep the noise down.
A handy trick for flower petals is to blur first and then sharpen. This will give you that border around the flower head that is all the rage this week.
Bob, thank you for you reply. Are you using any sharpenning tools from Photoshop?
Yes, Filter>Sharpen>Smart Sharpen. It gives you the most control over your sharpening efforts. I usually use Amount: 18%; Radius: 1.6px; Reduce Noise: 5%; Remove: Lens Blur.
Thanks again. What is your opinion about shake reduction?

I've used it too, but it doesn't give a natural looking edge. For an instance, please go to http://static.uglyhedgehog.com/upload/2014/7/12/1405187667768-mountainlichen.jpg I used Shake Reduction on that photo. It looks OK in the small image, but if you click to zoom in, it's pretty erratic. It's not something I would choose to use again.
