Any one watch Creative live with FroKnows Photo these last 3Days? I know there has been a lot of talk about high ISO shooting, but his class on take the fear out of low light...

I know there has been a lot of talk about high ISO shooting, but his class on take the fear out of low light photography was pretty interesting. Not once did he go below 1600 ISO, and he never ever used a flash. He shot a make believe concert, cars in a garage, basketball court and a toddler. It was pretty interesting and wished I had that info when I had to shoot my indoor event without a flash. So there are plenty of times we can push those ISO's.
He used a Nikon D3300 with a kit lens, a Nikon D610 and a D4, and the results were pretty amazing.
Since we have these cameras that can do this why not?

Fro is a photo-journalist. He does a lot of concerts and sports. I find him very interesting. I shoot also in Manuel mode. It lets me control the control. I use a Nikon D 40 and a Tamaron 18-270 mm lens. What do you shoot with. I love shooting people,pets and landscapes.

I watched some of that broadcast today. It was live and free for the viewing. He does a good job, but repeats himself a lot. However, if you can get by that, he is good and I enjoy listening to him. I shoot in manual almost all the time and I shoot everything that catches my eye.
Nikon D700 and mostly my 70-200 f2.8.

I started with a Nikon D3000 when it came out and did not like the kit lens so I bought a 18-200 and shot with that for the past 4 years than this Christmas I bought a refurbished D7000 and have since bought a D610 that I love. I shoot for a local newspaper free lance, and just have started using Fastsone for the paper, which I love for really fast tweaking, and LR for my personal use. My new favorite lens is my 28-300 I bought for the D610. I am going to try Jerold's shooting techniques for low light, which happens a lot for my events.

Once you get your exposure right. Then the rest is how you compose. Using what you have around you. Jared's knowledge is really good. I like his free demonstrations.

Some of it is being rebroadcast right now, they are on Pacific Time. This was the day he did a toddler, and basketball court. I find him a bit rough around the edges, but he has some great ideas. Now crazy about his boom images, to much contrast for me.

If you missed the class, the entire three days is available from CreativeLive for $99. I don't know how long the edited disc or download is, but the original class was 21 hours less breaks.

I'm not a huge fan of the Fro only because his general demeanor sort of gets on my nerves.

Having said that, I'm sure he imparted valuable knowledge and the class is worth it if you aren't up to speed on this stuff.

A lot of photographers on U tube. The one thing you get from Fro. He loves photography and says,like some others. Keep on Shooting. Yeah I think the guy from Adorama is knowledgeable too.
