I've had this one for a number of years now. I have blank cards face up, used cards face down. Coming home from a trip, I copy what's on the "used" cards to the computer & back-up disk, then reformat the card in-camera and put it back in the case.
The case with cards "lives" in my camera bag.

I use the card cases made by pelican (for CF as well as SD/and or both) and I'm very happy with them, they are very sturdy (crushproof) as all their cases and are also submersible (moisture and dustproof). They're just like their big hard-shell-camera-cases, only in miniature, but same tough construction. I love'em.

I keep the original containers the cards came in and I return them to their containers as I regularly change out my sd cards. I keep all of them (in the containers) in a ziplock bag.

I think buying quality is needed much of the time. But, sometimes cheap will work. For my SD cards I purchased a two section pill holder from the drug store. One side I have marked used. Works great each side will hold 4 cards.
