A couple from my garden this morning

Took these this morning with my Canon 60d and my 28 - 135mm lens. F9.0, ISO 125 with varying shutter speeds. Photos were slightly cropped and sharpened.

You are right. It sure is beautiful out in your neck of the woods both along the coast and in the mts.

I just noticed from your avatar you're from Central Michigan. I was born in Flint and lived there until I joined the Navy. I'll be passing through there on August 11, on the way to see my 93 year old mother in Traverse City. As well as a small family reunion of sorts, my avowed purpose is to bring back photos of crystal clear lakes and rivers to show the folks in NC.

For sure, you will pass through some beautiful country. I graduated in '60 and joined the Navy and retired a CWO in 1984. Couldn't afford to retire completely so I went to work for Los Alamos National Laboratory, retired from them in 1997 and finally came home. I was raised down state but came up to the Clare area where there's a lot fewer people.

My daughter graduated from CMU ...they are looking at my grandson for football also!!
