Here are a few test shots I took of Romeo. I bought this lens because I felt that I needed an all in one for those times when I am shooting fun pics with the family and I don't need portrait or landscape quality shots. However, I would like sharp and nice shots. I ended up buying this lens used and this is the first go with it. I shot all my pics in jpeg (I always do raw when shooting photographs) and these have not been altered. A little blown highlights that I will fix later but I wanted to show the true image. I am impressed with the clarity, color and sharpness of the images, even at 270mm. Oh- I wasn't focusing much on composition..just playing around. I used my d7100 and shot at ISO 800. I will eventually denoise a few in lightroom but in actuality, I think there is not much noise even with the iso so high. I am pretty happy. What do you think?

These are crisp, great color, and no distortion at the edges that I can see. Nice lens, and nothing wrong with used.

Love the second shot, lol. Cute!

Super clear focus on those photos, Alissa. I think you have a bargain on the lens ... and the subject is just cuter than a bug's ear as my grandma used to say.

Thanks! Yes..my eye is still learning to look for certain photo aspects like distortion, bokeh, etc. But so far I am happy with it, especially for the every day use. Thanks!!

Alissa,
Looks like you made a very good purchase. Very good color and very sharp. Nothing wrong with used if you get results like this. Of the five lens I have for my D7100 two of them were purchased used.
