A Democrat gets 10 years in jail and nary a peep from Liberal Media.

I saw it reported by 5 major media outlets all day. 4 TV outlets and an extensive story in the N.O. Times-Picayune. All reported that the sentence was "too light". Maybe the reception was bad in your underground bunker.

Of course it was covered here in Louisiana... and why not? Elected twice so he could steal twice as much.

Which is important to you, that it's been all over the news or that he stole from the people of New Orleans during a time of hardship and despair? Remember Katrina? 10 years is not enough.

The Times-Picayune coverage could have been expected, if course. The TV outlets were national vehicles (HLN, CNN, ABC, NBC). I agree he was guilty. I was just citing my experience in response to the OP's observobservations. 2 sides to a story as is usually the case.

As you know, Louisiana is very good at electing crooks. Maybe someone can explain why we keep electing such people. If Edwin Edwards tried to run for office while in jail, he would have been elected! Now he wants to run for the 6th Congressional seat in Congress. Will Nagin try to run again? I am sure the people of New Orleans will welcome him back.

My favorite line about NO politics came from Larry the Cable Guy. "Everyone thinks rednecks are stupid. But, we built us a city...9 feet below sea level...in a flood zone...and filled it with Democrats!" What can I say?. Thats funny right there. No matter who you voted for!

No reply, any comparison I make will label me as racist. Born and raised in New Orleans. Crap like this happens every time an unqualified candidate is elected.

FYI
"Maybe someone can explain why we keep electing such people."
Let me know if I can be of any further assistance!
Cheers!

The Unibomber (OP) has trouble realizing what's on the news. Also this was posted before.

I agree, Chris.
