Well I don't know if this is considered macro enough. I really don't know what I'm doing yet..have a lot to learn. I have a Tamron 60mm lens but not much to take pictures of around here until springtime. I did get a ring light for Christmas and have not used it yet. I will certainly try out your suggestion "Nikonian" to the other person about covering up part of the light.

Looking good, and this looks like a macro with a very narrow DOF. Is it life size? That would mean your 60-mm lens was about 90-mm or 3.5-inches from flower.
Next time you post, please check the box labeled "(store original)", so we can enlarge your image for critical review.
