Our wonderful leader will be in Texas the next to days raise campaign funds, does he plan on visiting the border to try get an idea of the size of the problem? NO not at all. Rick Perry did manage to set up a little meet with him to discuss the problem but could not get him to consent to a border visit.
Our largest problem at the moment is just down the streetbut Democrat Party Campaigning and fund raising are more important. Now if he were flying United and on Vacation I would not find it insulting to the American People. He is however on our time, He was not elected to campaign and raise coin, he was elected to Administer the law of the Land.
Is anyone concerned? I am.
John
Why? It wold be nothing more than a PR stunt. He has Cabinet Secretaries who have direct responsibility, like Homeland Security, HHS, ICE, etc to get staff on the ground and report up to the President. DO you think CEOs of major corporations manage any differently?
You guys are just too boring... If he goes someplace, he's damned, if he doesn't go someplace, he's damned. So you see, this president can do nothing right in your eyes...move on, he legally won two terms. Your party has lost 5 of the last 6 presidential elections in the popular vote.

You have no idea which party I belong to or support. If the ass can visit Texas to campaign on tax payer dollars he can damn well make a personal inspection.

Yes they do, I put 32 years in at a major corporation and every time something major went awry the CEO was right there. I might add that the company changed hands 5 times and every CEO did the same.

Donna , I am registered Dem since coming of age. though the Obama guy was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Then along comes Reverend Wright and mr Ayers, and that rocked my boat big time, so rather than vote against him I chose to not vote. After four years of his reign I again chose not to vote . I remain a Dem but not a blind Dem

You folks are amazing. Bush signs a bill into law and Obama is wrong for following the law. If he ignores the law, he's wrong for ignoring it.
If he doesn't visit the facility, he's wrong. If he does, he's pandering to the Latinos.
How do you guys face life everyday.
Maybe you should move to Colorado and mellow out on some grass.
wtf would the president actually going out to the border accomplish? visit the troops?
letmedance... I'm glad our president knows how to delegate, and it speaks volumes about you, that your 3rd topic on this forum is to express outrage at such a non-event...
dance away

They must lead a terrible life, a lot of their topics are about the "Liberals being enraged" about this and that. Such juvenile actions.
If you guys tell me you are Dems i think I will have switch my affiliations. I a president has time to fly at our expense to raise money and support for his party, he has time to visit the site of a very large problem that is affecting every part of our nation. He finds time to visit the sites of tornado and hurricane damage, what the hell can he say but wow look at that. He could the same thing and say wow look at that. Then at least my President might possibly convince me that he has some interest in the problem, instead he avoids it.

Frank,
Obama is not wrong for following the law. He is guilty of not protecting the borders of our country. If the borders were closed the Law would become a moot point. If an alien never sets foot in this country there is not a problem.
There are billions in this world that need help, do you suggest that we just open all borders and ports of entry and say welcome aboard, we will feed and protect you, just walk right in. Actually we do that with this unique tool, it is called the Immigration System. We welcome all but we limit the numbers that can immigrate yearly so as to not overload the financial system, the job market, the School system, and so on.
To make simple for those that follow without thinking, I give the following example.
Find the water connection to your home, trailer, tent, or condo. There you find find a regulator. The utility supplies water at between 120 and 160 PSI. There is plenty water wanting to get in, if we let that much in at one time things begin to go terribly wrong. Our water starts dumping hot water into the drain to prevent possible rupture or explosion. Hoses and fittings begin to leak and or break. The list goes on and on. To prevent this we install a Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV) to lower the pressure to between 60 and 80 PSI.
Our govt decided to control the flow of immigrants and created a system to do just that, a legal control of immigration lets call it a PRV (People regulating valve).
I hope I made this simple enough for you to understand, My 9 year grandson understood it .

I did not express outrage but disappointment, hoping that others might agree or disagree. The number of topics I have or will post is no importance to the subject. And I will continue Dance as long as the old body allows. Ballroom Dancing is a great hobby that keeps the heart pounding.

Hey, maybe he will pass through Dallas.

As I recall, Bush did a bad, bad thing when he flew over New Orleans and did not land to inspect the damage left by Katrina. Of course, there was no airport for him to land at but he could have made an effort. Of course, Obama is above all that.

Why?
Because he obviously has advisers who don't advise him; he's constantly telling us he learns of scandals from the news, just like us.
(I will point out here that most journalists don't just spring scandals; they usually first give the subject an opportunity to respond. Of course, it's probably just that the people given these opportunities brush it off.)
Cabinet meetings? Twice a year just doesn't cut it.
http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/obama-holds-first-cabinet-meeting-january_648993.htmlThere is no way, without regular cabinet meetings, that a President can remain on top of what his administration is doing.
Do I think CEOs manage any differently?
Yes. They hold frequent department head meetings, and stay on top of what's going on. If they don't, they get fired.
