I agree we need to control our borders, but the law is quite clear. And this was passed and signed by George Bush in 2008. It was a bad idea to put this law into effect at all; we should be protecting our borders, regardless of where they started their journey.

Funny thing is no matter how they spin it Perry is dead on, not only has president Obama refused to secure our borders, he has opposed any measures put forward by the governors of our border states who are most effected by illegal immigration. Now the Obama administration wants to term illegal entry into this country simply as immigration. What!? Libs wonder why it is that the president can not get an immigration bill when the answer is staring them right in their faces.... There is no border security and without border security there will be no immigration bill....

Were it my call I would have the national guard down there while we finished the fences where necessary, I am sure that if they can watch every car driving into any major city they could devise electronic surveillance of our border using stationary IR cameras and drones.... Stop the BS of not allowing border patrol to use gas powered vehicles in large border preserves... there are plenty of measures that can be taken. If our country can build the NSA which can tell you when and where you were the last time you passed gas, if they can man every airport to make sure that every air passenger gets harassed, they could damn well do a better job of securing our border. There is nothing that can't find its way into our country right now including WMD and terrorists. We would be foolish to think otherwise. I was watching the Armed Services Committee hearing and this was as much stated in the hearing by the General in charge of South and Central America. They know that Hamas and others are in South and Central America working with the cartels.... it is just a matter of time if we do not take border security more seriously.
