It is unclear if he has just had a very good snack or an unwelcome shadow has fallen on him. I would eliminate or reduce the yellow-rust discoloration on the bottom of his face. I might also crop away some of the empty space to the right of the door, bringing the aspect ratio of the picture closer to a standard size instead of the square it currently is, and bringing more balance to the shot. Otherwise it is very creative and interesting.

It's underexposed by 1/3 to 1/2 stop and the skin tones are off ever so slightly. I also would crop it a little bit.

Also would crop, but do like the capture of smudges on the mouth, looks like he was in the cookie jar..such a cutie!

My youngest son (4) always has food on his mouth. In most all his photos he's almost always has some kind of food on him.
