Guys, this is really cool. I recently had to start using glaucoma drops and was having difficulty getting the drops into my eyes so my wife has been doing it for me. Today I Googled "How to put drops in eye" and got this link.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TfWhPWcxfcThey advertise a product you can buy but it gave me another idea on how to do it without buying the product. I tried it and it worked great.
Here's what I did: Put the applicator in your left hand and hold it sideways over the bridge of your nose to do your right eye, like they did in the video. Look straight at the tip of the applicator, squeeze and you will see the drop coming. Since you are aligned with your eye the drop will go directly into your eye. You can't miss. When you do the left eye, hold the applicator in your right hand and repeat.
Try it with saline a few times for practice before you use your expensive drops. Let me know how it works.
Hey, thanks for this tip. I found the videos very helpful and by holding the bottle over the bridge of the nose, there's no chance of the tip touching anything and becoming contaminated.
You did a good deed today!
It seems like I almost always blink at the wrong time so I grab my lower eye lid and put it out and put the drop in there, not on my eye. It works for me, I hope it helps you also.
