Well, found out today why no uproar from my wife about ordering the lens.

Wife came in the compute room just now and said she was in contact with a friend in Belgium that owns a cafe. She saw the Belgiums large cloth banner with the Hockey Team signage and Jupiler Beer image and asked about getting one. Friend said 'No problem, I have a couple and I'll mail you one Monday." Wife told her she'd repay her with a gift from Florida on her next visit. Huh ? I said that would be an expensive gift and she said -->>

Not as much as a lens

Well, found out today why no uproar from my wife a... (show quote)

This reminds me of when I had a Procharger P600 supercharger on my Corvette.
I removed the 350 engine and installed a 454 built for forced induction and I wanted to buy a much larger supercharger.
I found a buyer for my old one we agreed on $3500.00 I told him I wanted $200.00 before I removed it and when I called him and told him it was off if he changed his mind I would keep the 200 bucks for my labor.
When I got home I laid the 200.00 check on the dinning room table my wife saw it and ask what that was for.
I told her I had sold my blower and she said she could not believe someone would pay that much for it.

I thought that was good because she would not think that I was going to pay $5800.00 for the new D1R that I put on it.

In early Dec 1996 when my wife and youngest daughter got home I asked my daughter to look in garage. She did and yelled at my wife to come see the new Porsche (911 993 C2 ,the red one) in the garage. I said to my wife Merry Christmas. Then she got in the car and said, "it's a stick shift, you know I can't drive a stick!!". I said "darn!!"

The next morning when I was heading for work she asked where was I going in her car!! I have been paying for this ever since!!

To be honest the 993 was the last of the air cooled Porsche's. I had found out and figured they would be valuable over time. It was my daily drive until I got the 911 Twin Turbo (black one), now it's my daily drive.

Not black. Should have been 'arrest me yellow'

The "arrest me red" was good enough, but with the turbo in "arrest me yellow" I would probably be in jail now :>)

The color don't mean shit when they see a sports car they hit the radar to see what your are doing.
My Vette is Black and I have a radar detector and when I meet a cop he will not radar cars ahead of me but when he sees my car on comes the radar.
I'm not going any faster than the one in front of me but they can not help it they will check a sports car every time don't make a dam about the color.

I know what you mean. With the Red 911 about 15 years ago i got a speeding ticket for going 53 in a 45 zone and I was the 4th car in line behind 3 others!! The cop are looking for sports cars for sure, and I happened to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time, with the wrong type car!!

Yep they assume you are speeding and in most cases they are right.

I had Indiana State Trooper tell me if I did not slow down I would louse my license I told him if I wanted to drive 55 I would have bought a Hugo, he didn't like that comment much.
