the proper term for photographic novice is Noobs!

YIKES not a very nice term!
"Newbs are those who are new to some task and are very beginner at it, possibly a little overconfident about it, but they are willing to learn and fix their errors to move out of that stage. Noobs, on the other hand, know little and have no will to learn any more. They expect people to do the work for them and then expect to get praised about it."

First time I read that definition! Here is what I have read: The definition of NOOB is "New, inexperienced person" per http://www.internetslang.com/NOOB-meaning-definition.asp
To my understanding, Noob is just an acronym for newbie or newb. It is rare to see any of these spellings in UHH. My previous reference was just in fun. No detraction intended.

I knew that; just thought it was good to know.
It's from the Urban Dictionary

I see I'm going to have to ad a pen & notebook to my ever growing bag of gear to record sizes of insects & flowers. Thanks for the help. This is going to be a great addition to UHH. I'm glad your at the helm steering us newbee's in the right direction. Thanks again

Thanks, and Drat for giving a booster shot to the "Lens Lust" fever !!

I have used an electron microscope (EM) to photograph microscopic diatoms. Anything photographed in an EM must first be electro-coated with gold, so living insects are not a viable subject. To date, only B&W images are possible with an EM.

I am a Noob, or Newbie, concerning Post Processing: I still use Picnik on Picasa 3. For other photography terminology, read here:
