Nice series! Wires will definitely give your auto focus fits! Use the largest aperture you can so the fox and wires aren't both in the DOF.
Thanks phlash, I think I was on the largest aperture, but there were double cage wires I had to bypass.... pretty tricky....
Thanks for looking, I appreciate it!! :)

Glad I could bring back some fond memories, mimbushopper! It is a wonderful place to spend the day.
As far as waterfoul pictures, most got deleted but I will attach one that's not too bad...
Thanks for visiting... :)
Nice! I forgot to remind you to watch out for deer tics. Lime disease is very prevalent in that area.

Thanks nimbushopper, you are so right...
sprayed ourselves when we got out of the car...
but on another note, I was at the Bayard Cutting Arboritum last week, and we saw, in the ladies room no less, a texas lone star tick!! I understand that you can contract a red meat allergy from them... also known as the meat tick!
Creepy world out there, I think we all need to be inside a bubble!!

You did a great job. Didn't know that there was a Wildlife Refuge in Quogue. (left long giland in '88) Used to live across the street from Southard's Pond in North Bablon, winter and summer would walk the trails up to Belmont Lake and many other parks as well. You are correct, there is a multitude of great places there.
Thanks for sharing.

Spent a wonderful day walking trails with my hubby, I really didn't do well with my pictures... deleted more than I took, but here are some I thought were OK...
You did well in spite of the wires, especially the second fox shot.
