What an AH !!! He announced that he will set up zoning laws to limit the locations for gun shops. This article saysd that these shops will not be able to open up in 99% of the city

You can bet that the remaining places where the gun shops will be allowed to be opened will be in the worse part(s)-- read as most crime ridden-- of the city.

Good idea Raum. Then those walking out of thse gun shops after registering their new firearms will be robbed or worse and the legally registered firearm will become a stolen item that is the responsibility of the legal gun owner.

Once again-- Raum is a TOTAL ASSHOLE. OK- I couldnt bear to be PC for this TOTAL ASSHOLE.

Chicago Council limits gun-sale locations
The Chicago City Council, forced by a federal judge to allow gun sales in the city, approved an ordinance Wednesday that dramatically limits where those stores can open and puts owners on alert that the city will be looking over their shoulders every time they sell a gun.

During their discussions, aldermen and Mayor Rahm Emanuel made it clear that the only reason they were voting to permit gun stores after a decades-old ban was because a federal judge, following a 2010 Supreme Court ruling that invalidated the city’s handgun ban, ruled earlier this year that the ban on stores selling guns was unconstitutional.

The ordinance, which passed by a 48-0 vote, requires that all gun sales be videotaped and prohibits gun shops in 99.5 percent of the city.

What a common sense approach to controlling guns in urban areas. Force your boys to buy your toys out of town.

What's wrong with that? If the person does not want to be videotaped, there must be some problem. It should be like that everywhere.

I thought he was only allowed to be mayor twice but after this third election last year... They must be writing new laws.

Emanual was elected mayor on February 22, 2011. He's in his first term.

Then, I will assume that you, yourself, have no problem being videotaped while you exert your constitutional right, such as while you're voting.

The idea that says, "If you have nothing to hide, what's your problem?" has been shown to be bullshit in so many ways that I'm surprised people who are smart enough to figure out how to use a forum still say it.

Just think about the person whom you are answering...what is their reputation on this forum? What is your opinion of their IQ, based on what she/it has posted in the past? Why would you be surprised about ANYTHING
she/it has posted? Did you actually expect an intelligent response from her/it?

I wouldn't have any problems being taped while voting. Anyone that would has a problem.

I expect an intelligent response from anyone. When I don't get one, I gently (for here, anyway) chide them, in an attempt to get them to recognize that their post is not up to what I consider to be an acceptable standard, and is more like something I would expect from a High School Sophomore. not someone who has spent any time at all actually forming an educated opinion.

Lots of sayings that sound good, aren't.

So you must believe that a private vote isn't a good thing?
That, as an example, card check voting, where a union official can see how you vote, can't result in a coerced vote? Same for voting in Chicago?
You haven't reached voting age yet, have you?
