Flower Macros

This is my first post in the True Macro Forum. I really enjoy macro & would like to learn more. I love what I see through my macro lens.
I mostly see guys posting bugs & wondered if it's okay for a girl to post flowers :). I enjoy shooting both. By reading & looking at posts here I am learning.

The only reason that girls can take photos of bugs and flowers is because the Supreme Court say that we have to. Nice shots! The Supreme Court says that we have to say nice things also. Or was that my parents? Either way, enjoy and keep shooting!

You are off to a good start. Your first image appears to be a true macro, and your other two appear to be close-up photos. Remember, your 100-mm macro lens must be at Minimum Focusing Distance (MFD) in order to capture a true macro-photograph. If your lens has done any Auto-Focusing for you, then you are not at MFD, and have captured a close-up photo.
P.S. - We have not yet met our minimum quota of female macro-photographers, so we welcome you as a minority gender in the minority discipline of Macro-Photography. <Bazinga!>
