Still trying to figure out this new camera. Spending time wandering through our state park system here in Tennessee.

I like the 3rd one. Wooden bridges are nice. I have to visit your state of Tennessee sometime. I've seen some great pictures from there.
Hey MHORN, you live in my state!! We have some wonderful state parks! The third image has a nice composition, using the lines of the wood to bring the eye into the image. What park were these taken in?

Longhunter State Park in the Nashville area on J Percy Priest Lake.
You have a lot of options around the Nashville area!

Your third one looks a lot like the walking trail at Reelfoot Lake in NW Tn, close to where I live. Nice shots. Middle Tn is a beautiful place. I spend time in Shelbyville, Bell Buckle and Lewisburg the Murfreesboro! (The ville, the buckle, the burg and the boro...LOL!)
Wanda, in which of the "3 states" in the state are you located?
Horseart, you're funny! I live in the northern portion of Middle Tn. Not far from Dale Hollow Lake, Burgess Falls State Park, and others. You gotta love Tennesse Parks.

Wanda, you live in a beautiful area. My end of the state is anything but beautiful, but in its defense, I have to say that Reelfoot and its Eagles, Egrets, Herons, Turtles and other wildlife give us a lot of beauty in a portion of ugly!
Thank God for a spot of beauty. Middle Tn and Eastern Tn are gorgeous. You are blessed to live in the scenic part.
I agree Horseart. My part of the state and East of here are beautiful, and I love the countryside. On the other hand, one of these day's, I'd like to check out the reelfoot lake area. What time of year would be the best for travel over to catch bird shots? Last week I went over to the Hiwassee River area to shoot the sandhill cranes that winter over there. The day was pretty cloudy, so ended up not happy with most of the shots. I think I'd have to return to the area several times before locating a good shooting area and, have good light too. However, a couple of us in my camera club have considered a trip to West Tn. and the Reelfoot lake area. Any advice?

Feb is the best time to capture good shots of the eagles and most feathered wildlife at Reelfoot. If you do decide to come this way let me know. Boyette's Restaurant is a great plce to eat fish while you are there. 2 "all-you-can-eat" dinners will run around $28-$30 and it's the best you can find anywhere.
There are 3 good places there to eat, but we always go to Boyette's.
Thanks for the heads-up on restaurants, and time to catch the best bird shots. I'll let you know if we decide to trek over for a weekend!
Do you have areas that are especially good for bird photography?

They have Eagle tours at Reelfoot. You'd have to Google it, but the guides take you where the eagles are most likely to be found.
ALSO, not too far north of you at Land Between The Lakes
(LBL) in Kentucky, there are lots of eagles and the lake always provides beautiful photo opps.
