Took these yesterday at our local zoo with my new Canon SX50 HS. These are some with which I am fairly content.

Hope you enjoy them. As per usual with me, they are "SOOC".

Thanks! Yup, I knew what it was, just not sure of the spelling and too darn lazy to bother to google it. I knew someone would come up with it. Gives you an idea of my mood today. It's hot here and the AC cr**p*d out yesterday.

Thanks for the good word. I'd be willing to do a bit of PP; but truth be told right now I can either focus on re-learning photography DSLR style OR PP. I chose to concentrate on the photography for now. The PP can come later.

Right now I agree. Less PP is more. Probably because I have not been willing to take the time, effort, or money investment in a good editing software package.

Thanks Linda. I try to get up close & personal and on the animal's level. These came out better than I had hoped as I was looking down on him.

They were originally "imported" in the 30s to eat river choking weeds and vegetation. They reproduce faster than bunnies on Viagra. Problem is, they eat like several times thier weight in vegetation per day...even "good" vegetation. So......the DEP came up with the idea to advertise them as edible game animals. That never really became popular. Well, except with some swamp dwellers who live off the land.
