The Tamron Canon 18 250 macro is also very nice. I get many good shots and great color with it and love the lens click thing to keep it shorter while walking. nice lens-bought it used for under 200.00 new about 400.00 -like any wide zoom it has some distortion but it's acceptable-seen mostly in barrel in portraits close up.
