My moon was not honey colored!!

In this area we had a great full moon but not the honey color I was expecting.

You need to be ready when the full moon first starts to rise. It's only yellow for a few minutes when the sun is reflecting off of it. (At least where I live.)

Of course! Nikon 7100 Sigma 150-500. Love hate relationship with the lens, but we are starting to grown on each other.

Same camera same lens. Had to wait about an hour for some clouds to clear. Going to try again tonite.

Actually the sun is always reflecting off the full moon or any phase we can see. The honey colour is, IIRC, due to the density of atmospheric dust, etc when viewed on the low horizon.

I like this one much better than the first. First one was a bit too overexposed and you lost crater detail on the edge.

Great effort.

Mine, on a different Honey Moon thread was done with the same lens on a D800. Really like that lens.
