Burning leaves in the fall used to be part of living in the northeast (the Atlantic northeast :D). Now it's against the law. The air used to get so think with smoke that driving could be hazardous and breathing, more so.

The smell of burning leaves I classify as a fragrance - maple incense. I do remember those days in Rochester on the lake when the airport was commonly closed in the evenings.

One of the bad "goods" of the old days.
