47th Street Photo

Hi All,
Does anyone have experience purchasing from 47th street? I can realize some small savings by purchasing from them. They were linked from Amazon, but still I'm used to and satisfied with Adorama. Just curious as I could realize a small $$ savings and get a couple filters with the lens I'm looking at.

Thanks much for any feedback you guys might have.

Do you mean 42nd. St. Photo? Run a search above. Very mixed reviews. I use B&H.

Hi,
Amazon says 47th. I almost exclusively buy from Adorama and B&H, but since it seems a lot use Amazon I was curious about this vendor they linked me to. Thanks for the response.

Thanks David for reminding me about "search" duhÂ… I can see why you thought 42nd.. The one comment about 47th was enough to help with my decision.

Thanks all for comments,
ed

I used to buy all my gear at the old 47th. Photo in Midtown Manhattan back in the 70s and early 80s.
Don't know if this current version is at all the same outfit.

Edit to Add:
Well looks like the Manhattan store closed in 1997 but even that already wasn't the original place I shopped at.

If you have to ask, then you must have doubts...... Do a seach as suggested above and then follow you gut feelings.

THIS IS NOT A RECOMMENDATION!!!

That being said I have purchased numerous items from 47th St. with absolutely no problems. I did notice however that they do not sell too many cameras or other high dollar gear. Mostly filters, adapters, etc. At least that is what I have purchased. Your mileage may vary.
