The brightness is an easy slider adjustment. Removing the gent on the right is going to take extensive cloning and masking. You'll need photoshop, a lot of time and talent.

Yoly C, here is a real quick attempt at it. You will get better results if you post the full resolution image and click the little button (Store Original) which allows people to download it.

Good job, Imaginist. I think you saved the picture for Yoly.
Looks like the 3rd person was trying hard to get himself into the picture on purpose. This re-enforces the idea the that we should always take a moment to review our digital photos before calling it quits and walking away.

Imaginist, I have to say I would not have thought to save the picture using the method you did. I would have struggled for a long time using different methods and never thought of something so simple.

Well when I first saw the thread I studied it and thought "That's going to take a LOT of work" but then it dawned on me to try it like this. It can still be done better, but Thanks all.

Jan, After I studied the photo I realized that the left side looked very much like the right side. I drew a selection over the left and made a layer, then flipped it horizontally and moved it to the right edge. It didn't quite match so I had to warp the new layer a little. Then I had to do a little erasing of parts, and cloning/retouching to fill parts of the guy in the dark suit. It still isn't great, but it should work. Thanks again all.
