It does make sense, the thing that doesn't make sense to me is that we seem to hold individuals who cannot afford a good lawyer accountable and not those who have plenty of money to play the system.
That thing that RR was just a little bit off on was that starting in his administration, we the people, started increasing the numbers in prisons exponentially.
Do any of us truly believe that there are that many more people who need to be punished (there is no rehabilition going on) than there were 50 million people ago?

Well, yes, I think mathematically that has to be true doesn't it? Saying you could add 50 million people and not have a criminal among them is pretty far fetched...
