Thank you! His name is Emit and he was born on his parents 5th anniversary. Anniversary dates will now be replaced with birthday parties.

The green is an unattractive distraction.
The lighting is front and flat.
The body position and facial expression does not flatter the baby or the photographer.
But I am sure the mother will love the shot.

Do tell, I am here to learn, tell me how to rearrange a sleeping 3 day olds face. How would you have a 3 day old positioned ... maybe sitting in a chair? how about on a swingset? riding a pony? standing in the garden? at the beach? Let me hear your suggestions.

Are you trying to say that the baby's face in one only the mother could love.

Thank you!! The lighting is what it is. Mom wanted outdoor pictures. Can not have a newborn in the sun. They burn very easy.

I can't believe what a set of comments you have made. Most of the people on this forum are asking for comments to improve their work, not be humiliated by others. You come off as an expert, you're not. I reviewed your posts. They need a lot of work. As far as I'm concerned, The baby shot is not too bad. It could be better if done in a studio, under floor lamps using ideal lighting. However I think the shot is very good. Sharp as a tack, great color, full facial shot with a three day old looking mostly into the camera. and i'll bet the shot actually looks like himself. I will agree though that the mother will probably like the picture. That's the only thing I can agree with you as to this picture. And why did you feel it necessary to insult the photographer.

From your sarcastic response it sounds like you didn't really want a critique, and didn't post it to learn?
There is a gallery section here if you would prefer to just have "oohs and ahs" gushing over the pretty baby.
I would have it positioned so that the distracting blankets did not cover the face at all.
And no, I definitely did not say or intimate in any way whatsoever that it is a face that only a mother could love.

I have read many of your posts in the past and I have thought you really do NOT play well with others. I hope you are not mystified by why people may NOT like you. When you insult a new born baby's appearance, that sums it all up.

I do NOT care if you insult me ... go ahead ... but to insult a newborn. Really......

By the way, I totally agree with you on the green.
